Star Wars Episode II's special cameo went "Bye, Bye, Bye". Find out how

If you were a kid in the 90's, you were a fan of boy bands or Star Wars, and if you were George Lucas' daughters you were probably a fan of both! And what better way to merge the two loves than to beg and plead with dear old dad to get the popular 'N Sync member to do a cameo in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

E! Online reported that to appease his starry-eyed daughters, he invited the crew to make a small background appearance. Unfortunately for them, he said “bye, bye, bye” to them in post-production and cut them out before the movie ever hit theaters.

Not all the band members could make it to the taping. The listed names are Joey Fatone, JC Chaves, and Chris Kirkpatrick, which means that Justin Timberlake must have foreseen how poor the prequels would be and save himself for the upcoming final trilogy that Lucas won't be at the helm for.

If Lucas' daughters got to meet their pop icons, I guarantee they didn't care if they made it to the final cut. However, as fans of the sci-fi saga, I can imagine how brokenhearted the dreamy trio must have been opening day of the film.
