The Amazing Stuff

Proving that Holland truly is the world capital of electronic dance music, this grandpa is awesome. At 83 years old, he’s learned that time is short, and if you want to dance, you should dance.

And that’s exactly what he did at an EDM festival Haarlem, Holland. I hope that you’re prepared to be amazed by his epic skills.

This just makes me want to go dance! Maybe he can teach me a step or two.

For those of us whose dancing abilities are confined to just kind of wiggling and wobbling around the dance floor, anyone who can choreograph or just perform dance moves seems to possess some kind of superpower. That’s why watching shows like So You Think You Can Dance is so addicting. It’s inspiring to see the amazing talents that other people have, that they’ve worked for years — even decades — to master.

What’s even more incredible is when children, who’ve only been training for a few years, are able to destroy the competition on the dance floor. The finals at the Chelles Battle Pro breakdancing contest in France showcases the best young dancers out there…

Leelou is doing great, but just wait until six-year-old Terra takes the stage!

They’ve clearly both have incredible talent, but Terra’s attitude and command of the audience are undeniable! The best part of this video, though, is how supportive Leelou is once he sees how talented his younger opponent is. This is the type of sportsmanship everyone needs to learn!

When you think of birds, you probably picture something majestic soaring through the sky, or you may think of their bright chirps greeting you in the morning. In any case, the image in your head is probably pretty awesome.

And then there are these birds. These birds are very real, and they’re all living on the same planet as you. Once you see them, that may be kind of hard to believe.

The Victoria’s riflebird is really dramatic.

Like, really dramatic.

But it has one heck of a mating dance.

You’ll notice that the majority of this behavior has to do with mating. The things we do for love, right?

The superb bird of paradise turns itself inside out to impress the ladies. And you thought dating in the human world took too much effort.

The black sicklebill almost gets awesome points for looking like a master of darkness…

…but then it turns into this.

“Look, flowers and chocolate don’t cut it with birds. You have to turn into a weird oblong if you want her attention.”

The lesser bird of paradise kind of got shafted on the name, but it still puts on a good show.

And then there are some birds that are striking in their everyday appearance, which isn’t always…fortunate.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the helmeted hornbill is really challenging that right now.

The Sri Lankan frogmouth has an apt name, but don’t tell them that. They seem a little self-conscious.

1. Its name is the cock of the rock. 2. Where exactly is its face?

3. Who cares; you’ll never forget that stare.

The great potoo is, like, totally freaking out right now, you guys.

The blue-footed booby, whose name elicits giggles from everyone, has a more staid approach to attracting mates. It just lifts a foot. It knows that ladies love subtlety.

And let’s not forget the majestic dance of the Attwater’s prairie chicken.

Fat Birds

And there you have it. These birds are taking birding to some totally new levels, and we’re pretty thrilled about it — even if we’re mostly confused.

When 15-year-old Ashlynn Marie steps onto the dance floor, she’s well aware that a massive crowd will form soon after. That’s because she can pull off dance moves that many professionals have yet to master.

It’s also important to note that she can choreograph routines as well as she can execute them, which is no small feat. Watch Ashlynn work her magic in the video below!

I just refreshed that video a few times, because I really can’t believe she can do that. There are so many talented kids out there, and this girl is among the most gifted. I hope that there’s more where that came from!

There’s no denying that Michael Jackson is an absolute legend. His music and moves will never go out of style, and no matter how many years go by, people will always draw inspiration from his work.

Take this adorable little guy, for example. He’s suave, talented, and passionate. This choreography would make Michael proud!

As much as the world tends to drag us down, we all deserve to celebrate the little happy moments to the fullest. That’s exactly what this sweet poodle does when she turns her afternoon at doggy daycare into a full-on dance party.

Her happy paws can’t be stopped as she shimmies around her slightly less enthusiastic doggy buds.

When this street performer lined up his instruments and began to play, a crowd quickly formed around him. The rhythm of his beat was just too irresistible to pass up. Yet when he looked around in the middle of his performance, he noticed one awesome old man dancing to his beats in style. When this dog mom turns on the radio, something magical happens. Sure, dogs react to noises all the time, but what these pups do when they hear music is the cutest thing you’ll see all week.
