You Can Make An Epic Breakfast Sandwich Every Morning By Just Using A Mug

In this fast-paced world, breakfast is often seen as a luxury more than a necessity. You don’t have time to eat it and you’ll wait for lunch. You woke up too late and have too much to do before you can actually sit down and enjoy a hearty meal. We’ve all been here before, and it almost never leads to a good rest of the day.

But eating breakfast prevents you from devouring more during other meals and generally promotes a healthy lifestyle. So if you’re stuck in the constant cycle where you avoid this ever-important first meal, fear not! All you need are some basic ingredients, a microwave, and a coffee cup for a breakfast that anyone could fit into their schedule.

To start this lightning-quick recipe, you’ll need an English muffin, one large egg, two tablespoons of grated cheese, salt and pepper, and a regular-sized coffee mug.

You can also substitute the English muffin with another carb, like flatbread or a bagel.

You’ll also need one teaspoon of butter. Once you have the butter, lightly spread it on the inside of the mug.

Next, whisk the egg and mix in salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the egg for 30 to 35 seconds in the microwave on high heat.

Once the egg is cooked, add your cheese. Cook again in the microwave for ten to 15 seconds.

Once your cheese is melted, carefully take the egg/cheese mix out of your coffee cup…

…and add it to your toasted English muffin. You’re all done!

For some extra fun, you can add bacon to your egg mix.

Because bacon makes every breakfast better.

This Slimy Food May End Up In Your Breakfast, But Don't Worry -- It Tastes Like Bacon

As Americans, we’re gradually becoming more conscious of what we shove into our face holes, which often leaves us at an impasse with one of our best culinary friends: bacon.

Although bacon is always there for us when things are going well, showing up on pizza and hanging out in amazing breakfast sandwiches, it is noticeably absent when everything digests and our hearts catch on fire.

It may be time to find a new breakfast buddy. Fortunately for us, scientists have discovered an unassuming food that could very well serve as a healthier alternative to bacon. Al Roker is pretty stoked about it, to say the least.

Dulse seaweed is a dinnertime staple in Iceland.

And as it turns out, it’s delicious. Served in its natural state, it doesn’t really resemble bacon. But when you fry it up, it proves to be a worthy adversary against our favorite gut-busting treat.

I bet Al Roker serves his seaweed-bacon with a smattering of cocaine!

So long, bacon! Maybe we’ll see you again when we get drunk and visit Checkers at 3 o’clock in the morning. But for now, this relationship just isn’t working out.

This Gourmet Take On Pigs In Blankets Will Bring Your Brunches To The Next Level

It’s been pretty much established that everyone loves bacon. After all, bacon, for good or for ill, has infiltrated pretty much every food item ever, from ice cream to alcohol. But now it’s time to finally bring bacon back to the brunch scene with this simple but very effective — and delicious — recipe.

You’re going to start off with bread…simple.

You’ll need six slices, just be sure to only use soft bread.

And of course, you need some bacon!

Six strips, to be exact.

One egg will be mixed with…

Milk (or cream) and some salt.

You’ll need two tablespoons of milk and a pinch of salt.

Cut the crusts off the bread and flatten each piece with a rolling pin.

The bread should feel a bit sticky after this part. Put your cooked bacon inside!

Cook those babies up!

  • Roll each bacon and bread roll-up in the egg mixture, then shake off excess. If needed, use your fingers to make the coating even, especially around the seam, where the egg mixture will act like a glue.

  • You can cook the rolls with the remaining bacon grease, or you can just use butter.

  • Place the roll-ups in the pan and cook them for about three or four minutes, rotating them to ensure even browning.

We present to you French toast-wrapped bacon bites.

For added decadence, you can also serve these with dipping sauces.

The original recipe suggests nacho cheese dip, but if that makes you skeptical, you can also use icing, Nutella, or maple syrup. You can even sprinkle them with cinnamon for extra flavor.

Now, you devour.

The nice thing about this recipe is that you can personalize it to suit your tastes. Try it with fresh challah bread for a bit of sweetness, or cinnamon raisin bread for added flavor. Just make sure that the bread is soft so it can be easily rolled. The next time you have a lazy weekend morning, definitely give this a try!

The Summer Treat You Didn't Even Know You Wanted Has Arrived

Okay, Internet, we know how much you like bacon: like, a lot. And we’re about to add to your bacon obsession with this little summer treat that you didn’t know you wanted until now.

So here it is, kids: the bacon weave ice cream sandwich.

First, you’ll need some bacon. For a sweeter treat, try maple bacon.

Create the famous bacon weave in a pan and cook. (There are tutorials for this pretty much everywhere.) They’ll be square, but once they’re cooked and cooled, you can simply cut them into a circle if that’s what you want. Eat the excess, or save it to sprinkle on something else.

Next, you need ice cream. Simple flavors like vanilla work best.

You don’t need to use a reciprocating saw to slice your ice cream (unless you want to go for uber-dudeness). A sharp knife will work just fine. Try to avoid spreading the ice cream, as the bacon wafers will be brittle. You could also peel the wafers off a store-bought ice cream sandwich and replace them with the bacon. I’m sure no one will be mad about it.

Ta-da!

That’s it. Now you just shove this right into your face and eat it.

Naturally, you don’t have to stop your decadent summer indulgence here. You can experiment with all kinds of variations. Try multilayer sandwiches. Try adding toppings and sauces. Try anything!
