All Tattoos Take Time, But This Artist Goes Way Beyond To Make Sure They're Perfect

If you’ve ever gotten a tattoo, you know that scheduling an appointment can be a little daunting, especially for an in-demand artist. Typically, tattoo artists see several clients a day, and while they may want to know the deeper meaning behind them, the sheer amount of work usually prevents them from getting too involved. For most people, artists and clients alike, that’s enough. But not for Ondrej Konupcik, a tattoo artist from the Czech Republic who goes by the name of Ondrash.

Konupcik only sees one client per day, which means that although his waiting list is long, his tattoos are nothing short of perfect.

His watercolor style seems spontaneous and free, but it’s actually carefully planned and rendered for each client.

Konupcik has made a name for himself not only for his talent, but for the deep concern he shows his clients, getting to know them and their stories on a personal level so that he can craft a tattoo that’s perfectly unique and tailored to their history, personality, and style.

It might seem intense (and it is), but clients are thrilled to receive this kind of individualized attention and to get something that captures what they really want.

“He wasn’t satisfied with my response to his ‘what’s the meaning of this tattoo’ question because that didn’t give him anything to work with,” one of his clients recalls.

“He needed the story behind it… By asking me to tell him more about myself, he was able to pick something that inspired him. It was so different from my original idea…yet he presented me with something even better. How awesome is it that he was able to create something that I couldn’t even imagine from the words that I spoke to him?”

“I work on one customer a day so I have enough time for each person,” Konupcik says.

You also won’t find any flash art (the images that come premade in catalogues) in his studio; everything is 100% unique and personal.

To create the images, he first sits down with the client and discusses the idea, and then draws out the design directly onto the client’s body.

That way, he says, the tattoo fits and flows with the unique shape of their body.

What Happens To This Incredibly Bold And Impressive Tattoo Is Beyond Amazing

If you’ve ever wanted a tattoo but couldn’t decide on what to permanently ink on your body, you’re in luck. Tyler and Braden Handley, two entrepreneurs who have shared your struggle, recently developed a new tattoo that disappears long before you can regret it.

Called Inkbox, the brothers’ invention allows people to experiment with a temporary, two-week solution to this problem. Using Kickstarter, they aim to broaden their reach with Inkbox. Their ultimate goal is to grant aspiring tattoo enthusiasts the ability to run wild with their imaginative designs.

Inkbox uses an organic, fruit-based concentrate to create their unique ink.

All you have to do is choose your design, place the tattoo wherever you want, and press it down with a damp cloth.

After peeling the sheet away, your new ink will develop over the course of about 24 hours.

The awesome designs will stay on your skin for a maximum of two weeks.

They developed this technique after being unable to commit to tattoo designs of their own.

With Inkbox, you don’t have to worry about the permanence of your decision. It will wash away before becoming an issue!

The Handleys are currently in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to raise enough money to create an online destination for custom Inkbox designs. The brothers also plan on donating proceeds from Inkbox purchases to the Darien Initiative, which supports tribes in Panama that have used this fruit-based ink for centuries.

Take A Closer Look At These Designs And You'll See Something Super Cute

As tattoos become more popular and tattoo technology allows us to create finer details and brighter colors, there are always artists looking to push the boundaries of what a tattoo can look like. From precise geometric forms to hyperrealism, there are people creating and wearing incredible works of art right on their skin.

One such artist is Eva Krbdk, a tattoo artist at Daft Art in Ankara, Turkey. Aside from a number of other styles, Krbdk mastered this unique tattoo style that looks like a cross-stitched sampler.

This style can be used to create almost anything.

The image is reduced to its basic colors and arranged along a grid pattern. Then, the different colors are inked in to create an abstracted version of the image. If you’ve ever embroidered in this style, you’ll understand the process perfectly. Using this technique, Eva has created tattoos of everything from classic roses to celebrity and pop culture references, and even text.

These designs are part of a new trend in tattooing that sees a less strict adherence to the traditional or “sailor” styles that became popular for tattoos during the later half of the century. This way, people can better express their personal style and have more choices if they decide a tattoo is right for them.

Aside from this cross-stitch technique, Eva’s work also includes a number of different styles, including linework, watercolor, and traditional tattoos, all executed with precision and attention to detail and color. You can see more of her fantastic work on her Instagram, as well as on the shop’s website.
