Talented 18-Year-Old Girl Sews Stunning Dresses That Look Straight Out Of A Disney Movie

Angela Clayton is an eighteen-year-old costume designer from Long Island, New York. She first started sewing three years ago when she got interested in cosplay; now, Clayton attends events less often, and has evolved to focus more on original designs. Her projects can take as long as 250 hours, and Clayton once used 11 meters (12 yards) of fabric for a costume!

“I hope that there is a future career that I will get out of it,” Clayton told Cosmo. “I love making costumes and I love bringing ideas to life. If I could do that for fashion, especially for theater or film, that would be awesome…I would rather go straight into that if I can instead of spending four years at school.”

Angela started sewing when she was just 14

“The first thing I really finished was a school uniform from an anime show when I was 14. It took me about two months”

“I was into cosplay, making costumes or wearing costumes to conventions, and I couldn’t afford the costumes that were available online”

“I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll make mine! That will be great and easy!’ It really wasn’t but I really enjoyed it”

“I have one that I’ve been working on since January and I’m still not done with it, but I hopefully will be finishing it soon”

“I decided to just give myself more freedom for focusing on historical projects and original design”

“If you practice, you can definitely do it. It might take you a while”

“It comes naturally to some people but it is definitely something you can learn how to do”

Hoodies Are Always Awesome, But These Are Seriously The Best

We don’t know anyone who doesn’t enjoy a good hoodie. These essential pieces of clothing are comfortable, functional, and versatile. Plus, they have hoods, which not only keep your ears and neck warm, but also make you feel cool and mysterious at the same time. (Just me? Okay.)

But besides being practical, hoodies can also be downright awesome in the design department. Here are some of the best hoodies we’ve come across online.

1. The Mewgaroo Hoodie lets you hang out with a friend.

2. When you’re rescuing a princess and you just need to blend in, this Stormtrooper hoodie will do the trick.

3. This hoodie doubles as a thermometer, but we’re not vouching for its accuracy.

4. Surreal twists on classic designs can be eye (or waist) catching.

5. This hoodie has a simple design, but you can unzip it for a traditional Vulcan greeting.

6. There are times when you want to tell the world that you’re a courageous warrior, but you don’t want to sacrifice comfort.

7. You can be your own Hero of Time with this hoodie. It even has a built-in sword that you can still (probably) take on an airplane.

Don’t quote us on that.

8. This hoodie helps you keep an eye on crime, even when you’re staring off into nothingness…because what else can you do in a hoodie?

9. Of course, people of all sizes need to be dinosaurs every now and then.

10. And if dinosaurs aren’t their thing, they can always be tiny sharks.

11. Of course, you’re never too old to take the form of a fantasy creature — in this case, a Pokemon.

12. And sometimes, you just need to get your goth on.

13. This one is perfect for bringing the drama.

14. And it’s always nice to have a buddy.

15. You don’t have to be a human to want in on the coziness!

These should inspire you to snuggle up in your own favorite hoodie, especially now that autumn is upon us. If you find that you (gasp!) don’t have a favorite hoodie, you should go out and get one! Preferably one of these. If any of them appeal to you, follow those links in the headings!
