She Was Dumped Right Before Her Wedding, So She Did Something Awesome With Her Dress

Being dumped right before your wedding has to be the most devastating thing ever, but that was the sad reality for Kilee Manulak. Her engagement of two years ended with a text message from her fiancé saying that he no longer wanted to marry her.

But what could she do with the wedding dress that was already picked out and purchased? It was too late for her to return it, so she decided to do something cathartic with the gown.

Manulak took her bridesmaids to the Color Fun Fest in Tampa, and they all wore their respective dresses.

Bride Shares Wedding Dance With Man Who Saved Her Life With One Donation

On October 10, 2015, in Sartell, MN, a bride walked down the aisle and exchanged vows with the love of her life. There were tears, applause…the happiness was palpable.

Greta Perske met Tony Hokanson four years ago through mutual friends.

Their ceremony at Celebration Lutheran Church was beautiful.

And the reception was equally joyous…

But one dance, in particular, brought all the guests to tears.

No, that’s not Perske’s father…this is Danny Daniels — he’s the man who saved the bride’s life.

When the young bride was just 16 she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Less than a year after the devastating news, Perske’s condition had deteriorated.

She was on a bone marrow transplant waiting list when a miracle happened.

Daniels was her match.

After losing someone special in his life, the 51-year-old man and his wife signed up to donate.

Today, Perske credits Daniels’ act of kindness not only with her life but also her calling — she decided to become a nurse when she learned what he’d done for her.

She recalled her thought process to the St. Cloud Times: “I want to help save lives, too. I want to give back.”

Even though they’d only met once before, it’s easy to understand the incredible bond Perske and Daniels share with one another. And it’s no wonder everyone was in tears…and gave the bone marrow donor a standing ovation when he was announced at the reception!

What Happened To This Ring Bearer And Flower Girl Will Melt Your Heart

Being the ring bearer or the flower girl at a wedding is a big responsibility for any little kid, since it’s hard to get up in front of all those people and carry out such an important task. While some little ones crack under the pressure, others find the courage to walk down the aisle.

But something truly unique happened to this ring bearer and flower girl. Seventeen years after they met at someone else’s ceremony, these two had a wedding of their own!

WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC

I bet no one saw that coming! It’s amazing that almost two decades after they helped someone enjoy their special day, they got to have one for themselves They didn’t know it then, but that fateful walk down the aisle so many years ago set the stage for a beautiful life.

This Bride's Dad Paused The Wedding -- And Made A Beautiful Gesture Of Family

When Brittany Peck was planning her wedding, she ran into a serious snag. She wanted to follow the tradition of having her dad walk her down the aisle, but both her father and stepfather have played major roles in her life, and she sees both of them as dads in their own rights.

Todd Bachman, Brittany’s father, received a phone call from her prior to the wedding. Peck was torn as to the aisle-walking part of the ceremony. But Bachman was a few steps ahead: “I told her I already had something planned,” he said.

During the ceremony, Bachman grabbed the hand of Todd Cendrosky, Brittany’s stepfather, yanking him out of his seat — and towards the aisle.

Bachman kept the whole thing a secret, even from Cendrosky.

This way, both father figures got to participate in Peck’s wedding, and the gesture of love moved everyone.

Even the wedding photographer, Delia Blackburn, thought Bachman’s gesture was an important reminder about what family really means. “Families are what we make them” she said. “Make it about your kids and not your ego.”

Peck and her family are lucky to have so many loving people — and awesome memories.

They Adorably Recreated A Scene From '101 Dalmatians' For Their Engagement Pics

Tony Collier, 26, and Corinne Jones, 25, recently got engaged. Instead of dressing up and posing awkwardly for the camera, they decided to reenact one of their favorite movie scenes for their engagement photos. The staged photoshoot will give you serious envy when you see exactly which movie they chose and how beautiful the shots came out…

You may remember one of the best Disney movies of all time, 101 Dalmatians.

Well, these two lovebirds decided to recreate one of the most romantic scenes from it, since it’s Jones’ favorite flick.

They subbed out the dalmatians for their own family pups…

Which added an adorably personal touch!

Besides, they pretty much caught the essence of the scene spot-on, dalmatian or not.

It also helps that Jones’ cousin is Melissa Biggerstaff, a super-talented photographer.

Usually, she only shoots shows and events as Rusty Lion Art, but she made an exception for family…

And boy, we’re glad she did!

The couple met when they were in the University of Illinois’ marching band.

They both played baby tubas — Collier on baritone and Jones on the mellophone.

But back to these Disney-inspired engagement photos…they’re just so much fun!

And they totally make sense for the couple — these two both went to work for Disney after graduating.

Every true Disney fan is probably jealous right now!

After their dream jobs became reality, they knew they had to recreate their own Disney story in the suburbs of Chicago.

Now, Collier works in special education and Jones is a high school music teacher.

Clearly these two were meant for each other if they’re both down to go to this extreme in the name of Disney!

You have to admit: it really paid off!

These two are getting married next summer, so wish them luck with the rest of their wedding planning!

This Ring Bearer Doesn't Quite Understand His Job, But It's Adorable Anyway

Kids are tasked with all kinds of jobs that they don’t really understand. Adults tell them to do something and they are just forced to do it, whether they get it or not.

This little ring bearer, for example, doesn’t get what he’s supposed to be doing at all, but it doesn’t make it any less adorable. Watch what happens when he gets confused. You’ll be grinning from ear to ear!

At least he’s enjoying himself. All I know is that most kids his age H-A-T-E putting on fancy clothes like that and being given any kind of responsibility. He’s trying to present the rings and then some! What an awesome little dude!

When It Was Time To Walk Down The Aisle, She Wasn't Expecting This Surprise

When this gorgeous bride started walking to the altar to marry the man of her dreams, she couldn’t help but feel like someone was missing. Her brother, a marine, was supposedly half the world away on duty and could not be there to see her get married…

…or so she thought. When she turned the corner, the bride-to-be saw something that instantly brought her to tears: her brother, in uniform, ready to take her the rest of the way.

Her brother managed to get off duty from Japan and fly to Iowa just in time for his sister’s wedding. If that’s not a loving brother, I don’t know who is!

After 40 Years Of Marriage, One Couple Celebrates In An Adorably Nostalgic Way

Celebrating relationships and marriages is always a wonderful thing, and you definitely have to hand it to people who keep things going for decades on end. That’s an achievement that Reddit user magic976‘s parents got to celebrate today. They were married on July 20, 1975, and they’re still going strong after 40 wonderful years.

To celebrate, they decided to reflect on how much things haven’t changed with some truly awesome flashback photos.

In 1975, the bride and groom hopped on a Harley for this adorable shot.

Here they are again in 2015.

And yes, those are the same clothes!

Sure, a few things have probably changed in the past 40 years, but it’s clear that the most important parts of their relationship have stayed the same. We wish this wonderful couple all the happiness in the world!

Getting Married? Perhaps You Should Hire This Fuzzy Guest To Be A Witness

Weddings are often traditional affairs, complete with fancy outfits, extravagant floral arrangements, gigantic cakes, and furry zoo animals. Wait a minute…

Okay, so that last bit isn’t too commonplace yet, but one venue in Japan is trying to make it so. Hotel Epinard Nasu in the Tochigi Prefecture sits right next to a zoo with an adorable collection of alpacas.

Thanks to a rising trend in secular wedding ceremonies in Japan, Hotel Epinard Nasu has been working with the nearby zoo to allow these fuzzy alpacas to serve as witnesses.

Nothing says “wedded bliss” quite like this…

Unlike some animals, alpacas don’t hold much significance in Japanese culture. They’re just so darn cute!

If you choose to get on board with this wacky trend, an alpaca trainer will accompany the fuzzy critter down the aisle ahead of you and your soon-to-be spouse.

Precious as this alpaca may be, these wedding guests have been known to leave unexpected presents behind. After all, they’re not exactly house-trained.

Still, imagine having this ball of cuteness at your wedding. Talk about going against the grain for your big day!

Though the origin of the first alpaca-witnessed wedding is unknown, it was likely done in response to a growing desire for less traditional weddings in Japan.

This wedding guest is ready for her close-up!

Can you imagine having a zoo animal serve as your witness? I thought using dogs as ring bearers was weird, but those canines have nothing on this!

He Gave Her A Very Special Engagement Ring. We Just Aren't Sure If It's Cute Or Not

Every engagement ring is special, but in reality, most of them are pretty much the same as far as design is concerned.

Unless you’re the Perretts, that is. Melita Perrett’s engagement ring was something wholly different. It was a deeply personal gift from her husband Mike — the kind that comes from deep inside.

And we mean that quite literally.

First, a bit of backstory: Mike and Melita Perrett have been together for a long time.

Back in 2006, Mike was injured and lost his right leg.

He was volunteering at an orphanage in India when he fell off a mountain. His leg was badly broken, and in the end, it had to be amputated. Mike wanted to keep the bone, so doctors gave him part of the tibia.

Five years later, Mike decided to pop the question. But he wanted to wow Melita with something special. That’s why he arranged to have pieces of the bone included in the ring.

Yes, you read that right. Mike worked with London-based jewelry company Ingle & Rhode — which specializes in ethically sourced jewelry — to incorporate pieces of his bone into Melita’s ring.

The triangular pieces are made of bone.

The bone pieces were completely sterilized beforehand, so working with them was pretty simple for the jewelers.

And Melita loves it.

“I guess why it’s so special to me,” Melita says, “is because I think it shows his bravely in coming to terms with something like that so positively…which has to be a good attribute for marriage.”

The couple was married on a beach in the Philippines in November of 2011. Today, they are expecting their second child.

A bone ring is a pretty intense statement. It might seem off-putting to some, but the Perretts are on the same wavelength when it comes to jewelry made from body parts. If you can agree on that, your relationship is probably solid.
