Whatifeverythingwaswrittenlikethis? That is exactly how text was written out way, way back in the day—before the Irish came along and fixed it.
Latin was originally written with no spaces some two thousand years ago. Everything ran into each other, but they were so used to it that they managed to get by. Besides, anything written down was just used as a memory aid for stuff the people usually already knew.
The Irish, who were beyond the control of the Roman empire, weren't used to seeing Latin when it made its way over with Christianity in the 5th century. One of the Irish monks had the bright idea that revolutionized the written word: add spaces to make texts easier to read.
Today we have bigger fonts, double-spaced paragraphs and celebrities to read books to us via audiobooks that all make reading a little less cumbersome. We can all thanks the early Irish monks for getting the trend of easier reading started.
