Is Batman hiding in North Carolina?
In Henderson County, North Carolina, there is a town called Bat Cave. Despite having the same name as Batman’s lair, the town is actually named after a nearby cave that houses several species of bats, including the endangered Indiana bat.
Bat Cave is the largest known granite fissure cave and is part of Bluerock Mountain. The cave and its surroundings are protected by the Nature Conservancy group and can only be accessed through the Nature Conservancy group during the summer months.
