An elderly Georgian woman was looking for some quick cash, so she started digging to find old copper wires that she could sell for scrap.
Little did she know that the wire she was cutting was a wire that delivered internet to 90% of Armenia!
The population of 3.2 million people, including journalists at all major news stations, sat twiddling their thumbs as they were left without internet services for 5 hours! Large parts of Georgia and Azerbaijan were also affected by the Spade hacker!
The woman faces 3 years in prison, although she has been released due to her elderly age. She has been compliant in returning to the police station for questioning!
