A female American shooter toured Europe and shot a cigarette being held by the German Emperor!

Annie Oakley was a famous American sharpshooter who lived during the late 1800s and early 1900s. She became an exhibition shooter because of her incredible shooting talent.

This lead to a role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Oakley was so good that she could split a playing card and then put a few more holes in it before the pieces hit the ground.

Oakley toured Europe to showcase her skills and performed for King Umberto I of Italy, Queen Victoria of England, and the president of France. In Germany, Kaiser Whilhelm II asked her to shoot the ashes off of his cigarette. Oakley obliged without harming the Kaiser.

However, after World War I broke out, she rethought this encounter. Oakley wrote to the Kaiser asking for a second shot. Considering Oakley's accuracy, the Kaiser would not have stood a chance. He never responded though.
