Funny thing is that the hipster barista is a real person! Dustin Mattson of Octane coffee in Atlanta finished 5th place at the Southeast Regional Barista competition 2010! And he is the 27th best Barista in the United States.
Most of us enjoy and love memes; however, Dustin is not really happy with his! He said “I do find it discouraging and disappointing that there was so much exposure brought to an attempt at making a joke of a culinary industry and the professional barista.”
If you ever get to see him walking down the street, try not to even mention his meme to him! He has already done his job by making you laugh at home.
