The United States Welfare System, although it provides a great service for those that need it, the system can be flawed at times. After the Obama administration released a few documents outlining the welfare system, many people noticed something strange about the benefits of single mothers.
As it turns out, a woman that makes $29,000 a year and has two children will receive $59,327 in benefits because of the welfare system. A woman who makes $65,000 a year will only be able to receive $57,045 in benefits. This means that if a woman who is working the $29,000 job is offered the $65,000 a year job, she'll have to contemplate which job would leave her and her family better off - even though at the second job, she's making more than twice as much money than she would be at the first.
