Halloween is a time for spooky thrills and scary chills. It’s the time of year for monsters, goblins, and ghouls to take aim at our psyches and make us lose precious hours of sleep.
But if you aren’t exactly freaked out by ghosts or vampires, maybe this will send a chill down your spine. Apparently, there are two very large asteroids headed our way, and they’re scheduled to pass by Earth just days before Halloween.
They’re coming right at us!
Well, not exactly. On October 29, an asteroid called 2009 FD is supposed to pass Earth at a distance of 6,194,000 kilometers. The second asteroid, 2015 TB145, is set to pass on Halloween, and it’s roughly 320 meters wide. No need to fret, though, because these asteroids won’t come close enough to our precious planet to cause any issues.

I guess people will just have to settle for scary movies if they want to be frightened this year. These asteroids seem like they’re nothing to worry about. Let’s just hope that they stay on their courses.
