You Could Repaint A Boring Room...Or You Could Use Wooden Pallets And Make This

If you want to liven up your room a bit, then all you really need to do is get a few cans of paint, a couple of rollers, and some friends who are willing to help you out. But if you really want to take things to the next level, you can create an accent wall with a few simple materials that puts painted walls to shame.

We’ve seen accent walls made of brick, stone, and stained wood. One upcycler just took that to a new and more sustainable level.

This room is a bit dull, but Imgur user dietdrperky figured out a way to make it look awesome.

The avid DIYer gathered a few wooden pallets that were on their way to the trash.

Before attaching them to the wall, dietdrperky arranged the pallet pieces into a pattern that would best fit the space.

This arrangement made the most sense.

First, they primed the wall with some stained wooden slabs. After that, they started attaching the pallet pieces.

The slats were affixed to the wall with screws.

The process was a tedious one, but even in its early stages, it looked amazing.

Almost there!

Behold the finished work! It’s certainly a lot better than before, and it’s so much more interesting than a painted wall.

Aside from the stain, screws, and wooden backboards, this accent wall cost practically nothing to make. Not only does it recycle old, unused materials, but it also refreshes the room completely. The whole space now looks rustic and beautiful.
