A pop up shop is one that opens temporarily in hopes the novelty will bring lots of people through the front door. Recently, North Shore Animal League America created a pop up café in Hoboken, NJ, that is attracting tons of people — through sheer cuteness.
On August 5th, NSALA set up a pop up café that rivals all others. Why? Well, because it doubles as a cat adoption event. Partnering up with Optimum, NSALA put together this cat cafe in the hopes that folks would be drawn in by the adorable, adoptable felines. Their goal?
“Optimum Community is always looking for meaningful ways to support the communities we serve, and partnering with Animal League America on the ‘Tri-State Cats’ initiative helps us achieve just that…[t]he Optimum WiFi Cat Café provides a truly enjoyable event for local families while supporting a great cause by donating to North Shore Animal League America’s rescue and adoption efforts.”
And, what do you know…it’s working!
The pop-up location itself is truly impressive — and will be open until August 9th.
Lots of people, both young and old, have shown up to play with the kitties.
The felines are intrigued…
And sometimes a little bit sassy…

But always ready to strut their stuff for their potential parents!
On Sunday the 9th, there will be a huge adoption event before the shop closes its doors.
Cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies will be present — and looking for their fur-ever homes!
Aurora is just one of the ladies and gents looking for a new home.
But Einstein’s already found his!
As has Felix, this handsome pirate.
But Casey Jones is still looking for a home!
All of these guys from the North Shore Animal League America just want to find love in their forever homes.

$1 is donated to North Shore Animal League America, up to $15,000!
So, even if these babies don’t find homes at the event itself…
They’ve raised funding for more success stories in the future!
Needless to say…everyone comes out a winner here!

REMEMBER — the big finale of the event is this Sunday (08/09) at 716 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ!
There will be a mobile adoption unit with dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens (in addition to the cats already present at the café). Plus, this is that day that all adopted animals will be able to go home to their new families!
