This Orphaned Kangaroo Has The Cutest Best Friend In The Whole World

Being orphaned is a very harsh circumstance to befall an animal. Most of the time, without their mother or some kind of parental figure in their life, the little critter ends up dying within a few days.

When one wildlife worker found an orphaned kangaroo, she knew she had to nurse it back to health to make sure it lived a long and healthy life.

But while medical needs are relatively easy to tend to, orphaned animals still face the psychological trauma that comes with being abandoned, losing their moms, and having few other animals to relate to. Gillian Abbott, this little kangaroo’s caretaker, discovered that orphaned babies respond to a particularly unlikely friend much like human toddlers do…and it’s simply adorable.

Meet Doodlebug.

He clings to his stuffed teddy bear like a human baby would.

The tiny ‘roo was nursed back to health by Abbott and now hops around in the nearby forest.

As you can see, though, he comes back for a good cuddle every now and then.

Now if that isn’t the cutest thing you’ve seen all day, then you absolutely need to show me the thing you found cuter because I don’t believe you! I guess this proves that we’re all just little kids at heart…as a matter of fact, this makes me miss my old teddy bear a little bit.
