Art can be splashed on buildings, painted on canvas, drawn onto paper or even applied on your face. Artist Tal Peleg has loved photography, illustration and makeup for as long as she can remember, but her favorite art medium of all is the human face.
She writes on Bored Panda, “…eye-art is my way of mixing all of these passions together by using the eye as my canvas. Makeup is an amazing form of art, and I use it in order to make my eye tell a story. I don’t just paint on the eye, but try to use the shape of the eye and its natural curves as part of the illustration in a creative way.”
Peleg finds inspiration for her art all around her, which she uses to come up with new ways of applying makeup. “It can be inspired by emotions, movies, fairytales, animals, food, important social matter and more.”
Peleg draws all of her eye-art on her own eye. She mainly relies on eye shadows, watercolors, eyeliners and some of the smallest brushes you can find!
“It takes hours of work, and lots of patience, but I really enjoy every moment of the process!”
