Nepal and its people are still reeling from the devastating earthquake that happened less than two weeks ago. The number of injuries and casualties continues to rise in heartbreaking volume as search and rescue crews scour the wreckage.
One crew member in particular has shown himself to be a driven and dedicated asset to their recovery efforts. His name is Ripley, and not long ago he was the one in need of rescue. Found wandering the streets of Sioux City, Iowa, about a year ago, he was taken in by Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue who thought his high energy could be put to good use.
After training with officials, Ripley was sent to Nepal where the brave pup has spent over 100 hours crawling around the places where rubble makes it too difficult for humans to navigate. He even made a lifesaving discovery…he found a 15-year-old boy who miraculously survived under the ruins.

What an incredible and inspiring pup. While Ripley continues his searches, you can do your part to help lend relief to those affected by the earthquake by donating to the American Red Cross.
