A Domesticated Baby Fox Is The Sweetest (And Sleepiest) Animal You'll Ever See

Meet Rylai: she’s an adorable domesticated red fox who loves nothing more than a good nap.

The cutie is stealing hearts one snooze at time thanks to her owner sharing snaps of the sweet girl on Facebook and Instagram. Named after a character from the video game DotA 2, she comes from several lines of domestic and wild animals making her unfit to survive roaming the world on her own.

Her fur, known as “white marble,” is a clear indication of her domesticated roots, since no red fox out in the wild features the distinct color.

As she grows up, Rylai will need lots of attention to keep her from getting too idle and destructive.

But for now, her favorite thing is sleeping. Lots and lots of sleeping.

Her owner explains on Facebook that she is not advocating for wild animals to be taken from their natural habitat.

She warns others that although Rylai is domesticated, that doesn’t mean she’s anything like a regular dog or cat.

For one thing, she will develop a musk that some owners might not love.

She also wouldn’t be suited for those looking for indoor pets and will require an outdoor enclosure.

But her wild side doesn’t keep her from forming a true, affectionate bond with her human.

Who wouldn’t love this little blue-eyed beauty?
