Christopher Walken re-arranges the punctuation on every script he gets! This is one of the reasons he has achieved 'cult hero' status

Christopher Walken's distinctive tone and pronunciation of words has acquired him a following that he is vaguely aware of, and rather intrigued by. His followers see him as a cult figure and he is viewed as someone not to mess with. But it's his manner of speaking that stays with you.

Walken has an aversion to punctuation. It's not that he doesn't like using it, he just likes to rearrange it and put it where he likes it to be, and then he uses it to his liking. His loathing of punctuation seems to be a condition he contracted at birth. He used to attack his school textbooks with a Magic Marker, getting rid of all commas, periods, apostrophes and exclamation points and putting in his own where he wanted them to be.

This is how he still approaches any script he is given. His incineration of punctuation has actually benefited him greatly and has become an indispensable 'technique'. His idea is to get rid of anything that will interfere with him delivering wholly original line readings.

When Walken says, in his trademark tone and with his trademark punctuation: "You get me in a vendetta kind of mood, you will tell the angels in Heaven that you had never seen pure evil so singularly personified…" you are inclined to believe him!
