This is the Caminito del Rey, and it could be the most dangerous walkway ever built

Known as El Caminito del Rey—The King’s Little Pathway in English—this path was opened in 1905 and is only a meter wide. The pathway is pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in the province of Málaga, Spain. It was built to connect two hydroelectric power plants, one at Chorro Falls and one at Gaitanejo Falls.

The pathway is made of concrete and supported by steel beams and looms over 330 feet above the river below. It originally had railings along the way, but they have mostly fallen apart. There is now a safety wire in place that runs along the pathway.

The path has fallen into pretty horrible shape of late, and due to several people losing their lives in recent times, it was closed in 2000 by the local government. There is a plan in motion to restore the pathway, though. The plan also includes a museum and area for parking. It should be reopened in a few years for those who are adventurous enough to check it out.
