A group of psychotherapists brought some radical changes to the lives of some ordinary nuns!

A group of radical psychotherapists thought nuns would be perfect subjects to approach with a philosophy of personal liberation. So they went to the Convent of the Immaculate Heart, one of the largest seminaries in the US.

The psychotherapists thought the nuns must be unhappy because they were suppressing their personal beliefs and desires in order to follow a strict set of rules and the vows they had sworn to uphold. Some of the Sisters admitted that they felt internal conflicts about following a religious lifestyle while at the same time trying to deal with their human feelings and emotions which didn't always follow Catholic doctrine.

The Sisters were told to loosen up, not worry about faithfully living as nuns, and be liberated. They were also told that modesty and humility were overrated, and that true happiness could be found by pursuing their own personal desires.

Before long, the nuns were wearing ordinary clothes, getting sexual, and becoming much more like laywomen. Soon, they petitioned the Vatican to accept the changes that had been made.
