If you're looking for a mighty steed, look no further than "Brookie," the world's largest stallion ever to live. He honestly looks like something out of a monster movie or an animatronic show.
Brookie, or more formallym, Brooklyn Supreme, was a Belgian Draft stallion that was foaled, or was born, in 1928. He topped out at 6 feet 6 inches and weighted about 3,200 pounds. A beast to say the least. He wore a 40-inch collar, which is bigger than most men's pants sizes. On top of that, he took 30 inches of iron for each horseshoe.
Brookie became an attraction, being shown around across the country by the owner, C.G. Good of Iowa and his partner Ralph Fogleman. They charged a whopping 10 cents to see the monolithic horse.
Brookie died in 1948 at the age of 20. That's a little short than the average 25-30 year lifespan of a horse, but Brookie was a medical anomaly that probably dealt with unique health issues, being a giant and all.
