A little known fact about the Pope is that he has a strong academic background, graduating from the University of Buenos Aires with a Master's degree in chemistry! Some feel that this interest in science is at odds with the Catholic mission.
Another Jesuit member of the Catholic Church, Guy Consolmagno, explained his fascination with asteroids. Guy explained that studying science is like playing a puzzle with God, and it makes him feel as if he is interacting with the Creator!
