During one tough day, James sought shelter in a farmhouse. The widow who owned the farmhouse felt that she was not a good enough host and apologized for her poor hospitality, saying she didn't have much money.
James must have felt sorry for the widow, for he gave her $1400 to pay off her debt collectors, even making sure to tell the widow to get a receipt.
While the debt collector was collecting his money, Jesse and his gang were waiting in the woods. When the collector left the widow's farmhouse, Jesse robbed the man and got back all of his money!
