22% Of Americans can name all five members of the Simpsons, but only 0.1% can name all five First Amendment rights!

We've all heard the stories that little children could identify pictures of Ronald McDonald, but not pictures of the founding fathers of America. Amazingly, children aren't the only ones who are able to identify cartoon characters over important figures in history, or in this case, the first five of the First Amendment rights.

Only one in four Americans can name more than one of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment! But more than half of Americans can name at least two members of the famous, cartoon family, The Simpsons.

This particular study took place at the new McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum, and found that 22% of Americans could name all five members of the Simpsons family - and just one in 1,000 of the people surveyed could name all of the five First Amendment freedoms!

Do you know what the freedoms are? If you said anything other than freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly, and petition for redress of grievances, you would be incorrect! One in five people thought that the right to own a pet was protected!
