A Princeton study found that Asian—Americans are discriminated against when it comes to college admissions.

These days, getting in to an elite college is more competitive than ever. Is it more competitive for Asian students though? This was the claim made by a number of Asian-American parents. Top schools maintain that they do not discriminate. However, a study done by sociologists at Princeton University found that Asian students generally had to score 140 points more on the SAT than white students in order to gain admittance.

In response, admissions offices have noted that Asian-Americans have the highest high school graduation rates and the highest SAT and ACT scores of any other cohort. So it could be racial bias or it could tough competition amongst their peers.
