Chang and Eng Bunker are the original Siamese twins. They are the sole reason that the term 'Siamese twins' even exists!

Even though they were joined at the hip, the two men lived completely different lives. Chang had a wife and 10 children, while Eng had a wife and 11 children.

Every three days, the men would move from one house to the other, alternating which life they were living. For work, they would simply be a public exhibit, although they were only moderately successful at that.

Chang contracted pneumonia and died in his sleep. His brother Eng woke up to his dead brother, and called for his wife to summon a doctor to perform an emergency separation surgery.

The doctor was too late, and after three hours of lying next to his dead brother, Eng died as well.

Their lineage lives on, as they have over 1,500 descendants! These descendants include several non-conjoined twins!
