The top 10 list of common foods with most vitamin C does NOT include Oranges!

When you get sick, what do people tell you to do? Get Vitamin C, and go drink some orange juice to get it.


If everyone says it, it must be chalk full of the immune boosting vitamin, right? True, oranges (and certain types of orange juice) do have Vitamin C. However, they have nowhere near the highest levels.


Guava has some of the highest Vitamin C levels with 376 mg for 1 cup. Next are red bell peppers followed closely by lychee, a small Asian fruit.


Surprisingly, parsley is next - not just a garnish! Kiwi, broccoli, brussel sprouts, papaya, strawberries and pineapple all have more Vitamin C than oranges.


So next time someone tells you to drink some OJ when you're sick, try a more nontraditional Vitamin C source.
