The Cookie Monster was originally green!

Cookie Monster is a Muppet on the children's television show Sesame Street. He is best known for his voracious appetite and his famous eating phrases: "Me want cookie!", "Me eat cookie!", And "Om nom nom nom" .

He often eats anything and everything, including danishes, donuts, lettuce, apples, bananas, as well as normally inedible objects. His favorite are cookies though, lots of cookies.

However, the cookie monster hasn't always been the “cookie monster”. Originally, he ate electronics, was green and had sharp teeth! There is a sketch in which the monster appears with frightening eyes and fangs and devours a complex coffee making machine as it describes it's different parts.
