Some colleges have "puppy therapy" to help students de-stress!

Some colleges offer massages, pizza parties and relaxation rooms to de-stress students during finals. But puppies?

That's the newest 'tool' that Emory University offers students who want to relieve some stress. After you're done studying, you can head to a room next to the law library and play with a golden retriever puppy.

Other Universities have been doing the same. Some staff even say that they've seen the puppies bring smiles to students that they've never seen smile before.

Harvard Medical School and Yale Law School also have a 'pet library,' puppies that you can check out as if you were checking out a book.

Does this really work? Scientifically speaking, yes. Research shows that interaction with pets decreases the levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) and increases endorphins (the happiness hormone.)
