Abercrombie and Fitch was once sued because they fired minority employees!

Abercrombie and Fitch has a very specific look. And smell. Honestly, you can smell the store halfway across the mall. They take their look very seriously. So seriously that they resort to discriminatory behavior.

In June 2003, Abercrombie and Fitch was sued for violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 "by maintaing recruiting and hiring practices that excluded minorities and women and adopting a restrictive marketing image, and other policies, which limited minority and female employment."

In April 2005, the U.S. District Court approved a $50 million settlement. It required Abercrombie and Fitch to provide monetary benefits to the plaintiffs.

The settlement was called the Consent Decree and also required Abercrombie to implement programs to increase diversity in it's workforce and to prevent race and gender discrimination.
