Nelson Mandela is an honorary Harlem Globetrotter!

The Harlem Globetrotters are a basketball team that only plays exhibition games, simply to provide humor and display their unique skill set. Some of the main features of Harlem Globetrotter basketball games are to have a dunk competition, as well as perform a variety of trick shots.

There are 8 honorary members of the Globetrotters including Nelson Mandela and Kareem Abdul-Jabar. The Globetrotters also have a number of celebrities signed on to contracts for the team, including Bill Cosby - who is paid $1.05 a year for his contract with the team!
