The Legend of Zelda is action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo.
It is considered one of Nintendo’s most important franchises; it's gameplay consists of a mixture of action, adventure, and puzzle solving. The series centers primarily on Link. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting of the series, Hyrule, from Ganon, a Gerudo chief who is the primary antagonist of the series.
Epona on the other hand, is the horse in which Link travels through most of the games of the series. She originally appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Her name comes from the Celtic Goddess of horses of the same name! Epona was a protector of horses, donkeys, and mules. In other words, Link’s main mode of transportation was a goddess! No wonder why he is always protected.
