Abraham Lincoln did not liked to be around knives because he was afraid of being killed by one!

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. Lincoln led the United States through it's greatest constitutional, military, and moral crisis; The American Civil War.

He was able to preserve union, abolish slavery, strengthen the national government, and modernizing the economy. Lincoln was self-educated, and became a country lawyer, a Party leader, Illinois state legislator during the 1830s, and a one-term member of the United States House of Representatives during the 1840s.

Despite being an strong independent man who wasn’t afraid of many things, Abraham Lincoln had an irrational fear towards knives. Abraham Lincoln did not trust himself to carry or be around knives because he feared he would spontaneously kill himself!

Apparently even the greatest men in the world have an irrational fear of some sort.
