A man was found alive 32 years after a terrible flood dragged him away!

The Big Thompson River is a tributary of the South Platte River in the U.S state of Colorado. On July of 1976, during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Big Thompson Canyon, the site suffered a devastating flash flood that swept down the entire place. The flood claimed the lives of 143 people, and 5 of those were never found.

This flood was triggered by a thunderstorm and in less than 4 hours the flood occurred. The flood also destroyed 400 cars, 418 houses and 52 businesses and washed out most of the U.S. Route 34.

As if this flood didn’t create enough drama, 32 years after the flood, a guy who was thought to have died was found alive and well because he left his cabin in the morning of the flood without telling anyone! The man was found alive living in Oklahoma with his family.
