Got $260,000 lying around? If so, you could be the owner of a former missile silo!

It’s the perfect building to own if you need to compensate for something.

Throughout history, a number of missile silos have been built throughout the world. These buildings ranged in purpose from testing new technology to improving self defense.

When a silo is decommissioned, many sit vacant or are demolished. However, a new company is selling old, unused missile sites to whomever can afford one.

20th Century Castles, LLC, based in a decommissioned silo in Kansas, specialises in purchasing and selling former missile sites and communication bunkers. To date, they have made over 50 sales.

For less than $300,000, missile silo enthusiasts can own their very own decommissioned site in Kansas, Indiana, Maine, or Ohio.

20th Century Castles has been featured on National Geographic, The History Channel, and the Discovery Channel, among other media outlets.

The first missile launch facility was erected by the Nazi forces in 1943. Located in La Coupole, the site was designed to store fuel and warheads.
