Today’s mobile phones can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area. It does by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone operator, allowing access to the public telephone network.

Most phones in modern days have the ability to access the internet, with a speed of 256 MHz. In 2013 it is considered a very slow speed, however, you can compare it to 1976 fastest supercomputer that ran at 80 MHz and cost $80 million!

This computer was installed at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where it was primarily tasked with nuclear weapons modeling (all thanks to the Cold War). It was considered the best of the best, it's speed was great! And in 2013 it’s considered a joke.

So don’t complain about your phone’s speed, many people from 1976 wish they could’ve had that kind of technology back then.
