WikiTravel warns tourists in Kazakhstan not to mention Borat!

'Borat' is a film starring Sacha Baron Cohen that has created a lot of controversy not only in the Western World, but also in the Middle East, more specifically Kazakhstan, the supposed homeland of the character Borat.

If you look at the WikiTravel page for Kazakhstan, they give helpful tips for first time travelers to the country - and one of these tips is not to mention or associate Borat with the people of Kazakhstan. Why?

The WikiTravel website states that the people of Kazakhstan are extremely proud people, and they feel that Borat was a giant slap in the face to their country and culture. In fact, there have even been cases of Turkish workers being attacked for mentioning the film!
