This Bride's Dad Paused The Wedding -- And Made A Beautiful Gesture Of Family

When Brittany Peck was planning her wedding, she ran into a serious snag. She wanted to follow the tradition of having her dad walk her down the aisle, but both her father and stepfather have played major roles in her life, and she sees both of them as dads in their own rights.

Todd Bachman, Brittany’s father, received a phone call from her prior to the wedding. Peck was torn as to the aisle-walking part of the ceremony. But Bachman was a few steps ahead: “I told her I already had something planned,” he said.

During the ceremony, Bachman grabbed the hand of Todd Cendrosky, Brittany’s stepfather, yanking him out of his seat — and towards the aisle.

Bachman kept the whole thing a secret, even from Cendrosky.

This way, both father figures got to participate in Peck’s wedding, and the gesture of love moved everyone.

Even the wedding photographer, Delia Blackburn, thought Bachman’s gesture was an important reminder about what family really means. “Families are what we make them” she said. “Make it about your kids and not your ego.”

Peck and her family are lucky to have so many loving people — and awesome memories.

After Receiving Some Tragic News, A Couple Honored Their Best Friend In A Sweet Way

Cassidy Williams had her wedding all planned out. It was to be a relatively small ceremony on the beach in Manzanita, Oregon, which is a coastal town with breathtaking views of the Pacific. Her and her fiance’s dog — a precious golden retriever named Dood — would stay behind in their home state of Utah, where the three of them would celebrate later.

This is the lovely Cassidy Williams with her fiancé, Mattijs.

And this is Dood.

But all of their plans changed when veterinarians told Williams that, even though he was only five years old, Dood was not long for this world. He had terminal cancer on his skull, and his life would soon be over.

With that heartbreaking news, Williams changed her wedding plans completely. Instead of leaving him behind, Dood was driven to Utah by Williams’ father so that the dog could be part of the ceremony. Williams wanted him to be able to swim in the ocean for the first — and last — time.

Not only was Dood present at the wedding, but he also served as ring bearer.

And because his time was so short, wedding photographer Natalya Jenney was instructed to pay special attention to him on the big day.

How dapper is he?

On the day of the wedding, Dood was in great spirits, hanging out with the guests and being the life of the party. He also got to experience the beach, and enjoyed frolicking in the waves.

Jenney described him as “energetic, loving, and simply happy-looking. He was running around, giving kisses to everyone, and just enjoying the amount of people all together ready to give him a petting.”

Dood really enjoyed the ocean, and Williams says her wedding went perfectly.

He clearly knows how handsome he is.

Dood’s life may be cut short by cancer, but his memory will live in everyone’s hearts, including Jenney’s. “Dood brought a great energy to the wedding,” she said. “He filled that space with love and comfort.”

This Ring Bearer Doesn't Quite Understand His Job, But It's Adorable Anyway

Kids are tasked with all kinds of jobs that they don’t really understand. Adults tell them to do something and they are just forced to do it, whether they get it or not.

This little ring bearer, for example, doesn’t get what he’s supposed to be doing at all, but it doesn’t make it any less adorable. Watch what happens when he gets confused. You’ll be grinning from ear to ear!

At least he’s enjoying himself. All I know is that most kids his age H-A-T-E putting on fancy clothes like that and being given any kind of responsibility. He’s trying to present the rings and then some! What an awesome little dude!

When It Was Time To Walk Down The Aisle, She Wasn't Expecting This Surprise

When this gorgeous bride started walking to the altar to marry the man of her dreams, she couldn’t help but feel like someone was missing. Her brother, a marine, was supposedly half the world away on duty and could not be there to see her get married…

…or so she thought. When she turned the corner, the bride-to-be saw something that instantly brought her to tears: her brother, in uniform, ready to take her the rest of the way.

Her brother managed to get off duty from Japan and fly to Iowa just in time for his sister’s wedding. If that’s not a loving brother, I don’t know who is!

At Her Mom's Wedding, This Flower Girl Decided She Wanted A Kiss, Too

All weddings are memorable, but capturing a wedding on film gives us the ability to share those memories with the friends and family members who weren’t present — or, in the case of Anthony Palmer and Michelle Hall’s wedding, with the entire world.

This time, the attention was not on the bride and groom (although they were lovely, too), but on the antics of Hall’s feisty four-year-old daughter Anderson, who served as flower girl for the occasion.

This photo was captured by Leah Bullard, a local photographer who specializes in wedding shoots. She asked the bride and groom to kiss for the photo, but they weren’t the only ones who heeded the order.

Far from shy, Anderson threw herself into the role and considered the wedding just as much her special day as it was her mom and stepdad’s. “She was calling herself the bride the whole day,” Bullard says.

Anderson took her role as flower girl very seriously. She obviously had no problem being in the spotlight that day.

“Ike was the ring bearer, and I was the flower girl. Momma was the bride and Anthony kissed her,” Anderson excitedly told reporters.

So when it came time to take a picture of the couple kissing, Anderson hopped on the bandwagon.

It took a few tries to get it exactly right.

Ike seemed a bit surprised by the whole thing.

They nailed it on their second try.

In regard to the second photo, Bullard recalled that Anderson “really went for it that time, and it was hilarious! I strive to capture the moment of the day,” Bullard went on to explain, “and that’s a moment the family can look back on for years to laugh and relive it over again.”

The photos were so popular that Bullard was even given a segment on the local news.

The family got a big kick out of Anderson’s enthusiasm. And for someone who certainly doesn’t shrink from the spotlight, the little girl sure knows how to share the glory. Of Ike, she says, “He was the best ring bearer ever! And I thought I was the best flower girl ever! We’re best friends.”

The Palmers enjoyed their wedding day before heading to Jamaica for a dream honeymoon. You can see more of Bullard’s photography on her website.

The Famous 'Follow Me' Couple Ties The Knot, And Takes The Perfect Photo

You’ve probably seen this globe-trotting couple online before. Their photos are the ones where she’s reaching back to hold his hand as he snaps the picture, with some exotic locale lying ahead of them. They’re the work of Russian photographer Murad Osmann, and they’re part of an ongoing series called Follow Me. Osmann is behind the lens, and his girlfriend, Nataly Zakharova, is the subject.

They’ve been just about everywhere.

Udaipur, India.

And in each shot, Zakharova wears something fabulous.

At the Taj Mahal.

They’ve had their share of adventures…

Running for cover at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.

…and seen many a sight.

Taking in the view in Eze, France.

The photos were all set up to appear as though Zakharova was leading Osmann on an adventure across the globe. They seem to have been just about anywhere, and can be seen posing in front of both famous landmarks and obscure sights alike.

After so many travels, the couple’s bond grew stronger and stronger, until finally, Osmann popped the question.

Osmann stuck by her through the wedding preparations.

Which, as many of you know, can be quite stressful. In this shot, Osmann is accompanying Zakharova while she gets her dress measurements sorted out.

After much planning, the big day finally arrived!

On his Instagram, Osmann wrote, “I promise to hold your hand and tell you I love you every day for the rest of our lives.”

The wedding had a dreamy, fantasy-inspired theme. It was an extravagant affair that, according to Osmann, came replete with “tons of decor, [a] giant Pegasus, [a] thousand plates, three dresses, liters of tears, one hubby, forty clouds, fifteen untouched pieces of cake, and dozens of occasionally broken glasses.”

The couple was also kind enough to let us in on some behind-the-scenes shots.

We can only assume that this adventurous pair will continue to travel, making art and memories along the way.

You can see many more of the happy couple’s adventures on Osmann’s Instagram. You can also check out some behind-the-scenes images on his other account, which is dedicated to the process of producing the famous photos we all love. The lovely Zakharova has her own Instagram, too.

You can also keep up with Follow Me on Facebook. If you’d rather appreciate the pictures in person instead of on your phone, there’s a book of the couple’s adventures available on Amazon.
