She Was Away For Too Long, But When Mom Returned — What An Amazing Welcome

There’s a reason dogs are commonly referred to as man’s best friend. They love humans, especially the ones who cuddle with them, feed them, and walk them. So when one of those people disappears for a long period of time, it’s a bit of a heartbreak.

But when they return home, boy is it glorious. Watch how these golden retrievers greet their mom when she comes back after being away on a long summer trip.

These big puppies couldn’t be any happier! I love how one went to get a toy as kind of a welcome back gift — so cute.

This Big Baby Really Missed His Dad When He Was Away At The Office All Day

It’s a known fact that when dogs’ humans leave home all day, the pooches don’t know how to deal with it. You see, dogs don’t really have a sense of time, and once their families leave, they don’t know if they’ll ever see them again. It’s a heartbreaking part of every dog’s life, but it’s rectified immediately when the work day is over and their favorite humans come home for snuggles.

This giant dog wasn’t sure if he’d ever see his dad again, so when he returned home from work, the thrilled pup made sure he’d never leave again…until tomorrow.

I think that dog probably weighs more than his human, which makes this even cuter. If I ever get trapped under an adorable Saint Bernard, I now know to just let it happen. There’s no way I could move that big guy, and I don’t even think I’d want to.

A German Shepherd Was Having A Normal Night In, Until He Saw Who Walked Through The Door

Is there anything better than being reunited with a friend? These reunions are great for us, and also for the people who are lucky enough to witness them.

When this German shepherd saw his military buddy again, the pup’s reaction was priceless. His best friend had just returned home after months of active duty, so you can’t blame him for being excited!

He could hardly contain himself! These two have a lot of catching up to do, so I bet they’ll go for walks together every day now that they’re together again.

They Were Forced Apart For Almost A Year, But They're Reunited Now

About a year ago, a man fell on some hard times, losing his job and income. Because of this, he was forced to give up his beloved dog, Reece, and place him in a shelter. Needless to say, that’s pretty heartbreaking.

Reece stayed in the shelter for nearly a year as the man put his life back together, until finally, he was able to house a dog once again. And Reece was there waiting.

Watch their amazing reunion.

Almost a year ago, this man fell on hard times and lost his job and house and had to give up his best friend, Reece. Things turned around for him recently and he just happened to look on our website and saw Reece was still at our Independence Campus, waiting. We were able to reunite them, and needless to say, they both were ecstatic to be together again. Keeping families together – just one of the reasons #whywerescue.

It’s stories like this that make you feel better about life and can even lift your mood. And if we’re talking about being put in a better mood, Reece and his human look like their lives are going to be much improved! The SPCA staff was thrilled, too. Not only was Reece getting a home, but he was going back to his home with his human.
