Childhood obesity is an important issue, especially given that nowadays, more than one third of children and adolescents are overweight or obese, according to the CDC. But as one Facebook user points out, how we combat the problem is very key to the well-being of the young generation.

A healthy lifestyle is helpful in maintaining a certain weight, but it shouldn’t sacrifice a healthy emotional state.
As Waite says, “Love her exactly as she is. Accept her exactly as she is. Like her, too, and let her know it. Fill her up with love and like and acceptance so she doesn’t learn to get it from cookies and Doritos and sundaes and pizza.”
