Some restaurants offer such amazing views the food is practically an after thought, though these fine dining establishments offer the best of both worlds, like Lycabettus in Santorini, Greece, pictured above, set high above the caldera clinging to the side of a steep cliff. The restaurant’s terrace is situated on a dramatic rocky outcrop jutting right over the water, while its Mediterranean dishes feature organic ingredients and elements of nouvelle cuisine.

Dinner in the Sky is just like the name implies. You’ll enjoy your meal suspended in the sky – the events are offered around the world, such as the one pictured above that took place in Split, Croatia. The table was suspended at a height of about 180 feet, with guests comfortably strapped into leather seats that are secured to a dining table – the table and seats are connected to a crane which performs the lift. Top chefs create amazing meals and also join the guests to talk about their food and the menu.
