Alcohol might not be as bad for you as some would have you believe

Alcohol is seen by many as the scourge of modern society. Literally, booze is a mildly socially acceptable drug that can legally be consumed by anyone over the age of 21,. But, is it really all bad?

Studies dating back as far as the early 1900’s have reported claims that moderate alcohol consumption might actually be good for ones health. Connections between occasional drinkers and reductions in everything from high blood pressure to the effects of Alzheimer's have been noted.

Additionally, there would appear to be a strong connection between the consumption of a few drinks a day and the reduction in heart attacks. In fact, it has been noted that all 13 base minerals required to sustain human life can be obtained from alcohol.

But the key here is moderation. Anything taken in excess is bad for the body. The problem with alcohol is that it tends to suppress ones natural level of judgement, thus it is often not possible to stop at “just a few”; leading to the bad reputation alcohol has received.
