Crows crush ants and rub the remains all over their body!

Crows have been brought into popular culture through their presence in many different horror films. It's a little known fact that crows are truly horrifying birds. Well - horrifying if you happen to be an ant.

Crows have been documented crushing ants up and rubbing the crushed ant all over it's body like it is some sort of perfume. The reason crows do this isn't because they think of it as some sort of sadistic war call, but rather because ant blood contains Formic Acid that helps keep away parasites!
