People From 18 Countries Photoshop This Man To Show Their Idea Of The Perfect Male Body

Fellas, have you ever wondered what women believe is the perfect body type/shape/size? Well, despite what you may have heard, it all really all depends on where you live.

UK pharmaceutical chain, Superdrug, were recently inspired to conduct their own experiment, after being inspired by artist Esther Honig. In 2014, Honig offered up her face to be photoshopped by 25 countries in order to discover what different nations and peoples deemed as “beautiful.

The results were extremely eye-opening;

Now, Superdrug have asked graphic designers based in 18 countries from around the world to photoshop an image of a male model, transforming him so that he appears, in their opinion, more attractive to other citizens of each of their countries.

The pharmacy giants revealed;

“Our own research found that 40% of men in the UK felt pressure from television and magazines to have a ‘perfect’ body and this has negative effects on how they view themselves and others.

We hope this report helps to empower men to place their physical and mental health above appearance to ensure we become a nation where body confidence is, in fact, the cultural norm.”

So, which countries place the least pressure on men? And which countries require their men to be hitting the gym every day? Let’s find out;

Okay, one thing’s for sure, I am never living in Egypt or the USA, because I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live up to their standards of male beauty.

This is certainly an extremely interesting experiment, and I hope it’s opened up a lot of men’s eyes out there who have ever felt pressured to achieve some sort of socially desired figure. Fellas, just like women, it’s okay for us to embrace the way that we look, and love ourselves for us. Be comfortable in your own skin, and realise that there are people out there who will find you attractive no matter what.
