While all animals are wonderful, dogs are especially amazing. And, dog owner Ryan Carter has a special love for man’s (and woman’s) best friend. He also loves the outdoors, which is why he decided to inspire other dog owners to get outside through Camping With Dogs.
The Nashville-based canine lover recently launched his company devoted to encouraging dog owners to spend more time with their furry friends, and on September 5th, he successfully hosted the first National Camping With Dogs Day. Of course, his own pup, Cooper, was the inspiration. To commemorate the day, shirts were sold with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Pedigree foundation.
Ryan’s goal is “Inspiring the world to go camping with their dogs!” and his #campingwithdogs Twitter and Instagram immediately became very popular. He asked those who participated to share their family camping pictures, and hundreds of pet owners joined the cause.
They unplugged, got active by scaling cliffs and climbing trees, relaxed and bonded with their cute and cuddly four-legged friends.
Ryan’s Camping With Dogs website will feature an app that will allow users to see what parks and trails across the country are dog friendly in the near future.
What do you think of National Camping With Dogs Day? Should it be an annual tradition? With the look of pure joy on all these dogs faces, we think it’s a no-brainer!
