If you live in China, or if you’re planning to visit in the near future, do not use the escalators. They have become quite notorious for their faulty construction, and they’ve failed at holding even the smallest children. Some escalators in China have swallowed people whole, killing them in the process.
The latest installment of escalator failure in China is just as terrifying as the rest, but luckily for these people, they moved quickly enough to avoid death.
I wouldn’t go near an escalator in China, and I’m starting to question riding them here in America. Let’s all vow to take the stairs. It’s healthier, it can help us tone up, and we most likely won’t die in the process.
