Some tattoos are good, some bad, and others as divine as nature. Sanne Vaghi has a talent for creating stunning nature-inspired tattoos that literally flow like veins across the human body. Vaghi is from the Netherlands where he studied Fine Arts and graduated in 2008. In 2011, Vaghi packed up his things and moved to Berlin where he has since been working and traveling around Europe.
The tattoo artist writes on Bored Panda, “From an early age I’ve been fascinated by transience in nature.” The artist uses this fascination to fuel his unique nature tattoos.
Not only are Vaghi’s tattoos made to represent things found in nature, like trees, animals and marine life, but he also strives to make his tattoos appear like a natural part of the human body… despite how unnatural it is to have a colorful deer on your left bicep.
Veins are blood-carrying lines that run all throughout the human body, and as Vaghi explains, “Lines play a big role in my work, as I love the way they can emphasize the shape of the body.” No two bodies are the same; meaning each of his tattoos must be uniquely thought out and crafted to fit with the individual. It is this precise methodology that makes his tattoos appear so natural.
Vaghi writes, “Every design must be as individual as the body it is made for. The placement of a tattoo is as crucial as the design, it should flow naturally with the shape of the body.”
