6. Angel Falls in Auyantepui, Venezuela
Angel Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world’s highest waterfall, measuring 3,212 feet high. It got its name after Jimmie Angel flew over the top of it, crash-landed on top and then walked for 11-days straight to reach the bottom. People were so fascinated with this story they decided to name the waterfall in Angel’s honor.
